What is Neighborhood Watch?
A neighborhood watch program is a group of people living in the same area who want to make their neighborhood safer by working together and in conjunction with local law enforcement to reduce crime and improve their quality of life. Neighborhood watch groups have regular meetings to plan how they will accomplish their specific goals and leaders with assigned responsibilities. It is an opportunity to volunteer and work towards increasing the safety and security of our homes and our homeland. Neighborhood watch empowers citizens and communities to become active in emergency preparedness, as well as the fight against crime and community disasters.

Responsibilities for the lead of the Fairway Villas Watch include attending the District 5 Commander’s Meeting via Zoom on the third Thursday of the month from 6PM-7PM, and then providing a brief summary to the CAC and the office staff for publication to TownSq. There are currently 5 residents that are listed as "points of contact." We are looking for a lead. Once per year the lead will organize a community meeting with the liaison officer of DPD which offers opportunities for residents to meet and visit with some of our officers.
